Ingredients:
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 3 medium apples, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375F 190C
Roll out the puff pastry sheet into a rectangle and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
In a bowl, mix almond flour, granulated sugar, softened butter, egg, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon to make frangipane
Spread the frangipane evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a border around the edges
Arrange the thinly sliced apples over the frangipane in a decorative pattern
Drizzle honey over the apples
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and the apples are tender
Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly
Dust with powdered sugar before serving
Slice and serve warm or at room temperature
