With this slow cooker recipe, you can make tender chicken breasts with a tasty marinara sauce. These are then served over light angel hair pasta.
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 oz angel hair pasta, cooked according to package instructions
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions:
To make the sauce, put chicken broth, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, dried basil and oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper in a slow cooker
Pour the sauce over the chicken breasts before putting them in the slow cooker
Cover and set the heat to low
Cook for four to five hours, or until the chicken is soft and fully cooked
Use two forks to shred the chicken after it's done cooking
Angel hair pasta that has been cooked should be served with the chicken and sauce
Put some grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves on top
